Treasure Hunt Bookshelf Day 32 WIPocalypse

Hello stitchers, thought I would do a quick update of Treasure Hunt Bookshelf for you.  I am going to join in with WIPocalypse this year.

This is hosted by Melissa at Measi's Musings

The topic for this month is to introduce ourselves and our stitching goals for the year.  So, I'm Claire, I've been blogging for about a year but stitching for much longer.  I live in a small town on the south  coast in Hampshire, UK with my husband of 12 years, our 8 year old son and our cat.  I work 3 days a week as a pharmacist which gives me a good amount of time to stitch.  My goals for this year are to get some finishes from last year framed or finished properly, to finish Bamboo Fan and to get halfway through Treasure Hunt Bookshelf.

Here's Bamboo Fan, I haven't touched it yet this year.

Here's Treasure Hunt Bookshelf as of day 32

I've finished 2 pages and have done over 17000 stitches, still inside my 500 stitches a day target.  I am going to have to make some progress on some other projects soon though, I need to finish my husband's birthday card before April.  Think I'll have to sort out a proper rotation.  I've said that before though and not done it!

Looking forward to seeing everyone else's progress, happy stitching!

Clean and Simple at Craft Rocket

Hello again everyne, it's challenge time again at Craft Rocket, our theme this fortnight is Clean and Simple.

http://craftrocketchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/

I have made a Christmas card for this challenge - how organised am I?!

I've used some green mirror card and an embossed white card layer.  The stamp is by inkylicious and I've stamped it with a memento tuxedo ink pad.  I bought this ink at the NEC in November and I have to say it is fantastic to stamp with.  I've covered the tree in pearls.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Guest Designer at CCC Digi Creations - Use Die Cuts

Hello everyone, I'm thrilled to have been asked to be a guest designer over at CCC Digi Creations.  The theme is use die cuts and the sponsor images have come from Stitchy Bear.  I've been given this brilliant image to work with called Dirty Work - you can find it here.

I've coloured the image using Promarkers.  The green card and flower pot die cut are from my stash.  The background paper is from Lili of the Valley, the stamp is from Circa Designs using a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad. The flower die cuts are from All Occasion Dies by Robert Addams and the leaves from Die'sire.  I added a few pearls and a bow to finish.

Treasure Hunt Bookshelf - Day 20

Hello everyone, thought I'd post some progress on Treasure Hunt Bookshelf.  It's day 20 today and I'm about 11,700 stitches in  - well inside my 500 a day target.  I also have a page finish, page 1 is done - only 44 more to go!

I am loving doing this chart - apart from the Kreinik.  I'm using Thread Heaven which helps a bit.  On one of the pages across the top there is loads of Kreinik, I think I may do that page in conjunction with a different page so I don't get the urge to launch it out the window!  It does look beautiful though when it sparkles so it is worth it.

Thanks for visiting, happy stitching!
