WIPocalypse February Post

Hello everyone, it's WIPocalypse time again, this is hosted by Melissa at Measi's Musings.

,

I've been working on Treasure Hunt Booskshelf again.  This is my progress as of yesterday morning.

I've completed 4 pages and am making good progress on the 5th. I'm hoping to get this page done by the end of this week.   The top right hand corner is all Kreinik which continues all the way across the next page too.  I'm alternating it with other parts of the page so I don't get bored with it.  I've made some really good progress this last week as I've been off work but I'm back today - boo!  I have had to move my snap frame and tried Katie's tip of putting some felt under the snaps to protect the stitches, it seems to be working so thank you Katie!

Our topic for discussion this month is which of our finished prices attract the most comments. I think my Christmas village scene probably gets the most plaudits, maybe because it's only on the wall for a few weeks a year!

Looking forward to seeing everyone else's progress later when I finish work!

Mother's Day/Female at Craft Rocket

Good morning everyone, it's time for another challenge at Craft Rocket!  Our theme this fortnight is Mother's Day or Female.

I have tried a new technique for this card.  I've folded a 7x7 card blank to make an easel card.  The image is called Daffodil Plants and is from Fresh Brewed Designs.

I've used purple card from my stash and background paper from Lili of the Valley.  The sentiment is stamped using a Memento tuxedo ink pad and a rubber stamp from Circa designs.  A couple of gems and a bow finish the card.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Thanks for visiting, you have until 1st March to link up your entries.

Love is in the air at Craft Rocket

Hello everyone, it's challenege time again at Craft Rocket, our theme this fortnight is Valentine/Love.  My husband and I have been married for over 12 years now so we don't really do Valentine's day any more - the novelty has worn off!  So for this challenge I've made a wedding card for a friend at work who is getting married.

I've sttiched an image from Ultimate Cross Stitch Sentiments magazine using the recommended DMC threads.  The green card is from my stash, background paper from my Create and Craft Club pack.  I've added some die cut hearts with some angel whispers glitter, a pearl and some paper roses.

Lots of Love at Unicorn for February

Hello everyone, we have a new challenge at Unicorn for February.  Our theme this month is Lots of Love as it's Valentine's day soon.  Any love theme card can be entered - Valentine, weddings, anniversarys, engagements.  I have made an anniversary card.

It's my husband's uncle's 25th wedding anniversary in April, they don't want any gifts so I have made a keepsake card for them instead.

The pattern is from Ultimate Cross Stitch Cards magazine and is stitched 2 over 1 on 14 count Aida.

I've used paper from The Snowman paper pack by Crafter's Companion.  You'd have to look quite hard to tell it's Christmas paper!  I've also used mirror card and some pearls to finish.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Thanks for visiting, we look forward to seeing your makes over at Unicorn.
