Winter Wishes

Good morning crafters!

I have another card for you today.  It has been very cold here on the south coast this week so I have made a wintery card.  We haven't had any snow though so I am grateful for that although my son is disappointed!

I have stitched a Hobbycraft mini kit of a very sweet little sheep with his hat and scarf.  I used silver mirror board and a background paper from 'The Snowman' paper pack.  I stamped a sentiment in silver ink.  I found a reel of felt snowflake shapes in Hobbycraft and cut 6 of them and added a gem to the middle of each one.

Valentine

Hello again crafters!

I have made a Valentine themed card to share with you today.

I have stitched another Hobbycraft mini kit of a little mouse holding a balloon - he is very cute!
I stuck him to a tag and tied a bow to the top.  The background paper is from Scruffy Little Cat that I got at the craft show on Saturday.  The heart shapes were from my stash.

Thank You Card

Hello again crafters!

I had a very successful trip to Sandown Park on Saturday with my Mum and my friend.  It was my Mum's frst trip to a craft show.  She claimed she was only going for the experience but she managed to fill a rucksack with lots of goodies!  I came away with a big bag full of bits too which I spent Sunday organising.  Work has prevented me from crafting until today but I now have a few days off to play with my purchases!

I have a new card to share with you today.  I have made a thank you card.

I used a background paper from my Create and Craft Club book and cut the butterfly strip from another paper from the same pack.  The cross stitch image is a mini kit from Hobbycraft.  I added a bow and some paper flowers with gems and stamped 'with thanks' using a stamp that came on the cover of a magazine I picked up at the NEC.

I notice a lot of challenges have a love theme so I'm off to do something with hearts next I think!

Christmas Robin

Hello again!

I'm back sooner than I thought I would be!  I have another day off work today (I do have a job, promise!) and after yesterday's success I thought I would have another go.

I mostly do Christmas cross stitch and have several little kits that I have stitched but not done anything with yet so I thought I would dig them out and see what I could do with one.

This is a Mouseloft mini kit that I stitched back in October. I framed it with gold mirror board and Dovecraft paper. This time I stuck it to some plain card first as I noticed that the pattern was showing through the Aida on my card from yesterday - I still have a lot to learn!  I wanted to use some of the things I bought at the NEC so I hand stamped the sentiment with an Inkylicious stamp in gold ink and used some holly leaves to try and compliment the background paper.

I am going to another craft show tomorrow at Sandown Park and have gone from having very little on my list of things to buy to having a list as long as my arm!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Completely Christmas - ATG with a twist make it cute
Crafting for All Seasons - Things with wings
Crafty Cardmakers and more - Something old, something new
Craftyhazelnuts Christmas Challenge Extra - Anything goes
Winter Wonderland - Only one design paper

Thanks for visiting my blog, please come back soon!

Adoption Card

Hello, it's been a while since I posted anything but I'm happy to report that I had a successful trip to the NEC with my friend in November and now have many more crafty bits to play with!

She has been trying to persuade me for some time to enter some challenges.  I have had a couple of days off work and have finally got round to having a go.

Another friend is adopting a little boy next month and I wanted to make a card to congratulate her on her new addition to her family.

I found this cross stitch pattern for Tigger in my stash and stitched him yesterday.  I used silver mirror board and star paper from a Create and Craft Club pack to frame him.  I stitched a sentiment and framed that too.  I found a couple of little teddies in my stash and added them down the side.

I cant tell you all how proud I am that I've finally made something that I can enter into some challenges!

I hope to be back soon with another card to share with you all!
