Anything goes at Unicorn

Good morning everyone, it's time for a new monthly challnge at Unicorn.  Our theme this time is Anything goes.

I modified this chart slightly, the greeting was originally meant to say we're rather than you're but apart from that it is as charted.

I've sent this card to a friend of mine who recently got engaged.  She fosters cats for the Cats Protection League so it seemed appropriate!

Spooky and/or Cute at Unicorn

Good morning everyone, it's time for a new monthly challenge at Unicorn.  Our theme this time is Spooky and/or Cute

This is Skeleton Ollie Owl by KLT Charting.  It's not the best photo but all his bones are stitched in Kreinik sparkly thread.  The hand dyed fabric is also by KLT Charting.  The little bag embellishment was part of a set I found in the charity shop.  Again, the photo doesn't do it justice as the little sweets sticking out of the top aren't very clear. The paper and pearls are from my stash.

For A Child at Unicorn

Good morning everyone, it's time for a new monthly challenge at Unicorn.  Our theme this time is For A Child

I had this cute little bear kit as a freebie with a magazine but I didn't like the card that came with it so I made my own.  The papers are from my The Snowman pack and I think they go well with the colours in his scarf. The star and sentiment are from my stash.

Sketch Time at Unicorn

Good morning everyone, it's time for a new monthly challnge at Unicorn.  Our challenge this time is to design a card using a sketch.

This sketch was provided by DT member Geesje

I loved working with this sketch as I have dies in all the right shapes!

The flowers were coloured using promarkers, this has been cut out from a book of colour in postcards from the Royal Horticultural Society that I got for Christmas. The paper, flowers and washi tape were from my stash.

Food and Drink at Unicorn

Good morning everyone, it's time for a new monthly challnge at Unicorn.  Our theme this time is Food and/or drink

I modified this chart, it was supposed to have four wine glasses and a different sentiment.. I changed out the font and charted my own words and fiddled about with the placemrnt of the grapes and vines.  I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.

This will be for Father's Day for my father-in-law as he likes a tipple!

Masculine at Unicorn

Good morning everyone, it's time for a new monthly challnge at Unicorn.  Our theme this time is Masculine

The chart for this was a gift on a magazine.  I didn't like the card it came with so made my own.

I used my crcle nesting dies to make the mount, I really like the colours.  This is for my Father-in-Law's birthday, he enjoys sailing so hopefully he will like it!

Furry Friends at Unicorn

Good morning everyone, it's time for a new monthly challnge at Unicorn.  Our theme this time is Furry Friends

I haven't had a lot of time this month as I was quite busy at work so I've made this little mouse from a magazine gift kit.

I've finished my job now and I'm planning to wait until all the madness is over until I start working again so I'll have plenty of time for craft I hope!  In between the home schooling and cleaning and cooking....

Flower Power at Unicorn

Good morning everyone, it's time for a new monthly challnge at Unicorn.  Our theme this time is Flower Power

This cut elittle peacock surrounded by flowers was a kit I found in a charity shop.

I used an aperture card from my syash and covered it in tissue paper that one of my birthday presents last year had been wrapped in.  I'm really pleased with the effect and might use it again as I have plenty left!

This card will be for my mother-in-law's birthday, let's hope she likes it.

Anything Goes at Unicorn

Good morning everyone, it's time for a new monthly challnge at Unicorn.  Our theme this time is Anything Goes

I got this little kit from Hobbycraft.  I don't like the way they do these kits now, they don't list the floss colours, its all done by coloured squares which makes it more difficult to sort the threads.  Luckily this one doesn't have similar colours so it wasn't too bad.

This will be for my Mum's birthday.  I've used paper, card and dies from my stash.

CAS at Unicorn

Good morning everyone, it's time for a new monthly challnge at Unicorn.  Our theme this time is Clean and Simple

I love CAS cards but I'm not very good at them so I went to Pinterest for some inspiration.

I used my circle dies to cutt he circle then put some patterned paper behind to make a bauble.  My penwork isn't the best, it's a bit shaky but I'mhappy with the stamped sentiment and the overall look.
